The Turtle Hospital in Marathon, Florida, well-known for its dedication to rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing sea turtles, is partnering with Exploring by the Seat of Your Pants (EBTSOYP) to offer an engaging K12 virtual field trip for all students in grades K-12.

Turtle Tales from the Florida Keys brings the wonders of marine conversation right to your screen, making this virtual field trip accessible no matter where you are.

About K12 Virtual Field Trips

Albeit these aren’t your typical virtual tours. K12 virtual field trips provide unique experiences where students can:

  • Meet the Animals: Our virtual field trips bring the excitement to you. During Turtle Tales, you’ll get up close and personal with the hospital’s current sea turtle patients and permanent residents.
  • Go Behind-the-Scenes: Explore the rehabilitation facilities and learn about the medical care provided to these magnificent creatures.

“Mr. T,” an almost 200-pound loggerhead sea turtle, crawls into the Atlantic Ocean Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at Sombrero Beach in Marathon, Fla. The adult male reptile was rescued in early February and convalesced at the Florida Keys-based Turtle Hospital following surgeries to remove a fishhook.
